Cosmo D. Marfione PE

Managing Partner

Cosmo D. Marfione, P.E., is a Managing Principal for The BDC Group as well as a Managing Partner of Newbanks, Inc., a nationwide professional construction due diligence firm. At BDC, Mr. Marfione is responsible for managing the company’s overall strategy as well as development and construction operations. At Newbanks, Mr. Marfione leads business development, manages the negotiation of professional service agreements, and oversees the firm’s overall financial administration.

With over twenty years of experience in the real estate and construction industries, Mr. Marfione has developed nearly five hundred residential homes and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space. Mr. Marfione has a technical background as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and holds advanced degrees in structural engineering and business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Colton Hill

Partner and Director of Construction

Colton W. Hill is a Partner and Director of Construction for The BDC Group (BDC). At BDC, he is responsible for managing all construction operations. Mr. Hill has over a decade of construction and real estate development experience across all real estate asset types including multifamily, mixed-use, retail, medical, industrial and storage, and institutional. 

Prior to The BDC Group, Mr. Hill was a Director of Development and Construction Operations for Gordon Development Company. While at Gordon Development, Mr. Hill developed and constructed over $135 million of mixed-use, multifamily, and retail assets in the Capital District area. Prior to joining Gordon Development, Mr. Hill was a Construction Project Manager for Consigli Construction Company, a multibillion-dollar construction management company.

Michael P. Marfione

Partner and Director of Marketing and Sales

Michael P. Marfione is a Partner and Director of Marketing and Sales at the esteemed BDC Group. Joining the organization in 2016, Mr. Marfione played a pivotal role in establishing the Marketing and Sales department, assuming responsibility for crucial aspects such as branding, new media creation, lead generation, and comprehensive marketing strategies across all assets. With an impressive career spanning 16 years in design and media production, coupled with 7 years of expertise in social media marketing, Mr. Marfione brings a unique and invaluable perspective to The BDC Group that transcends the boundaries of traditional development and construction companies.

Before joining BDC, Mr. Marfione made significant contributions to the vibrant New York art world for 16 years, where he independently excelled as a highly regarded photographer and designer. His unwavering commitment to excellence and passion for artistic expression served as the foundation for his success. Mr. Marfione's educational background is equally commendable, as he holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, specializing in photography and time-based media. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in design and photography from St. John's University.

With his wealth of experience, refined artistic sensibilities, and comprehensive understanding of marketing dynamics, Michael P. Eric S. Peresiper

Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Finance & Investor Relations

Mr. Eric S. Peresiper is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Corporate Finance & Investor Relations at BDC. With almost ten years of corporate banking experience, Peresiper has a proven track record of relationship management and new business origination across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Prior to joining BDC, Mr. Peresiper was a Vice President of Structured Trade & Working Capital at J.P. Morgan, where he managed a portfolio with over $100 million in assets. At J.P. Morgan, Mr. Peresiper was responsible for advising and executing structured trade finance solutions for his Fortune 500 clients. 

Mr. Peresiper lives in Mamaroneck, NY with his wife and son. Mr. Peresiper graduated with cum laude distinction from the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management at Cornell University with a specialization in Finance.

Erin Daly

Director of Transactions

Erin A. Daly is a Director of Transactions at The BDC Group. Ms. Daly is responsible for performing due diligence to determine the soundness and profitability of investment opportunities and for coordinating between partners, investors, and/or third parties to ensure transactions are executed timely and correctly. She works closely with BDC’s principals in order to maximize returns and minimize risk for our partners and investors. 

Prior to BDC, Ms. Daly spent seven years at Citigroup as an Associate Vice President in private banking, where she coordinated and executed more than five billion dollars in highly regulated debt and equity transactions across all industries with a focus on the technology, media, and telecommunication spaces. Prior to Citigroup, Ms. Daly was a senior analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co in wealth management where she advised clients on investment strategies. 

Ms. Daly is an active volunteer at New York City’s homeless shelter. Ms. Daly earned a B.A. at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, Rhode Island in mathematics.

Shane J. Reynolds MSRED

Vice President of Acquisitions and Development

Shane J. Reynolds is the Vice President of Acquisitions and Development at the BDC Group, securing the development pipeline for BDC Capital’s Class-A Self-Storage Growth Fund. He combines strategic market analysis, entitlement research, proprietary investment score modeling, and site planning to identify underserved trade areas that offer long-term competitive advantages for investors. Once acquired, Shane works closely with our legal, engineering, design, and construction partners to facilitate development and delivery.

Prior to joining BDC, Shane spent 15 years as a data analyst and project management consultant in the healthcare industry. Shane is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College and a graduate of the MS Real Estate Development Program at Nova Southeastern University.

Mark S. Johnson

Controller

Mark S. Johnson started as Controller of BDC Builders Inc in 2019.  He oversees all construction and development related finance and accounting activity within the company.  Mark has been working in the real estate development and construction industry since 2015, starting as a project accountant.  He has been responsible for tracking the construction financials of over $300MM in real estate assets over his career, ranging from condominium projects, to apartment complexes, to hotels, to climate-controlled self-storage facilities.  Prior to beginning his career in real estate, Mark worked for a major global investment banking firm in New York City.  Mark received his bachelor's degree in finance from Manhattan College in 2012 and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in real estate development from Georgetown University.

Amanda Wilkins

Project Administrator

Amanda joined the BDC team shortly after its start in 2018 and today functions as its Corporate Controller where she oversees the day-to-day accounting for BDC Holdings Inc. as well as all development entities.  Amanda also works closely with the construction department and lenders for development projects executing monthly disbursement requests.  Amanda’s experience includes nearly 15 years in the accounting field primarily focusing on the real estate development and construction industry.

Jack Henry Esler

Asset Manager and Assistant Vice President of Development

Jack Henry Esler serves as an Asset Manager and Assistant Vice President of Development at The BDC Group. With a proactive approach, Jack fortifies the pipeline of self-storage, student housing, and multifamily prospects by leveraging robust industry networks and conducting comprehensive market analysis. Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and construction affiliates, Jack Henry ensures the smooth transition of our high-quality products to market. Post-launch, he dedicates himself to enhancing value through diligent operational efforts. Jack is currently enrolled in a commercial real estate certificate program at Boston University, further enriching his expertise in the field.

Gordana Babić

Senior Graphic Designer

Gordana Babić is a highly skilled senior graphic designer and 3D artist who specializes in architectural visualization. With over six years of experience in the industry, she has a strong track record of delivering outstanding design projects for a wide range of international clients. Gordana's expertise lies in branding, marketing materials, web design and development, motion graphics, and video production. Throughout her career, Gordana has worked with a diverse range of clients across various industries, including tech, finance, healthcare, and real estate. Currently, Gordana is completing her Bachelor's degree with Honors in Computer Graphic Engineering (B.Comp.Graph.Eng.) to further enhance her skills and knowledge in the field. At BDC Group, Gordana is responsible for branding, marketing material, web design and web development, motion graphics, and video production. In her free time, Gordana enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She is a creative individual who loves to explore new ideas and techniques in design, and she is always looking for ways to improve her skills and knowledge.

Lana Snyman

Administrator

Lana Snyman is a highly experienced administrator who currently serves as the administrator of the BDC Group Marketing department. With a degree in Social Media Marketing from the University of Cape Town and over 10 years of experience in various administrative roles, Lana is an essential part of the marketing department. Lana is known for her excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. She is a dedicated and hardworking individual who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible.
